Power vs. Force: Surf as Meditation

Come join Kate Fox, surf instructor, and Natalia Newman, photographer, on this women’s retreat as we explore our relationship with the ocean and ourselves.

This is not your typical surf yoga retreat!! While there will be surfing and stretching, our intention is discovery through ocean awareness. Each day we will spend time by the sea, opening ourselves up to her many lessons. We will observe, swim, and surf the waves- diving into a deeper understanding of how the ocean moves, and how we move within it. There will be time for togetherness and quiet reflective time. Over the course of the weekend Natalia will be taking small groups out to the beach to do individual Ocean Portraits, this is your time to create and dream into what you want to convey, this is your time to step into what you are becoming.

Wave Alchemy x Dominical Surf School Women’s Retreat

Come Join Kate Fox, Debbie Zec, and an amazing team of surf instructors from Dominical Surf school in beautiful Dominical Costa Rica where the water is warm and the jungle is lush.

A typical day will include movement, theory, and other classes in the morning, surfing in the afternoon depending on tides. With an emphasis on surf and personal development, this is a time to come together with other amazing people to explore, hone skills, move bodies, and enjoy. All ages and skill levels welcome!

Included in the retreat package is:

  • Airport shuttle provided at 10 am and 3 pm on the day of the retreat and returning on the day the retreat ends. Airport shuttles needed outside this time are not included.

  • Lodging

  • All meals except for one dinner out

  • Surf lessons, board rentals, instruction

  • Yoga

  • Surf related Breath work

  • Massage

  • Dry land surf classes and video analysis

Lodiging will be at the beautiful Casa Kia Ora just up the hill from Dominicalito beach where we will be surfing most days.
